In the News: Madison County’s Real Estate Boon

PHOTO: John P. Cleary | The Herald Bulletin – REALTOR Kevin Majeski, right, shows Bertha Phipps and Randy Davis a house for sale in southwest Anderson earlier this week. Majeski and other local REALTORS say they’re seeing an influx of potential buyers from outside Madison County who are seeking to take advantage of reasonable property taxes and the area’s proximity to affluent communities in nearby Hamilton County.

The Anderson Herald Bulletin published an article on the rapid rise of home values in Madison County, Indiana. Referencing a recent study by SmartAsset, the article, authored by Andy Knight, touts that home values in Madison County have enjoyed higher gains than any other county in the state.

The article states: “The analysis, part of a larger study on places realizing the most value for their property taxes, confirms anecdotal evidence from many local REALTORS that the county is well-positioned to take advantage of continued outward growth from the Indianapolis suburbs.”
